Who are we?
Pickles & Popsicles, Inc. is a community-based organization dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of women and birth worker professionals in hopes of developing safe spaces for new and expectant moms. We take innovative approaches to educating, advocating, and supporting moms through the emotional, mental, and physical tolls of motherhood. We strive to encourage and advocate for moms through each stage of pregnancy, birth, and especially postpartum.
Our mission is to create a collective of acceptance, support, and transparency for all women journeying to and through motherhood.
Meet the Founder
Meet the face behind Pickles & Popsicles, Inc. Whitney Hunter-Batteast is the wife to the greatest man on the planet (Cassio Batteast) and the proud mother of three beautifully, brilliant children (Kynadie, Cassio II, & Afeni). She founded P&P during her last pregnancy in 2019, and the name was birthed from her cravings at the time.
Whitney experienced vastly different pregnancies with each of her children, but one thing was consistent - her village. At every turn, through every complication, and with every milestone, she had a great circle of support.
Motherhood can be absolutely beautiful, but it can also incredibly isolating. Whitney wants to be the “village” for moms and believes that emotionally supported moms raise emotionally supported children.
